Douglass lived the bulk of his career in Rochester, N.Y., where for 16 years he edited the most influential black newspaper of the mid-19th century, called successively The North Star (1847-51), Frederick Douglass' Paper (1851-58), and The Douglass Monthly (1859-63). Douglass achieved international fame as an orator with few peers and as a writer of persuasive power. In thousands of speeches and editorials Douglass levied an irresistible indictment against slavery and racism, provided an indomitable voice of hope for his people, embraced antislavery politics, and preached his own brand of American ideals

Education is the key

1. In life your education is the key to success, in order to get achieve a good education  you have to go to school and learn the literacy that they teach the children so you have to build your literacy skill and vocabulary skills to become better an be proud of your self and appreciate it.                                             
2. Education is one of the most important thing in the world cause people always be looking for people with skills and a good literacy and experience also, especially reading skills is a possibility that most people be looking for in work's like lawyer or teacher.
3. Inorder to go to a good collage your GPA would have to be extremely high and also your SAT score but to get a good GPA an SAT score you have to put a lot of effort in your school work and take pride in your work too so you have to set your mind to your goal in life.
4. Navigating collage and high school is difficult but it will worth it in the long run and also you will be very proud of your self cause thing that you use to complain about an say you don't understand you can do it now in the future and your everyday life.
5. Also education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom which means that in order  to accomplished your gold in life you would you have to, have education and also a bachelor degree for when you leave high school.
